Kara Brewer Boyd speaking on behalf of farmers before a congressional Subcommittee

Thank you to Kara Brewer Boyd, an enrolled member of the Lumbee Tribe of N.C., for speaking this week on behalf of farmers before a congressional Subcommittee on the climate crisis. The hearing centered on Regenerative Agriculture: How Farmers and Ranchers are Essential to Solving Climate Change and Increasing Food Production. Rep. Ro Khanna, Chair of the Subcommittee on Environment, held the hearing to examine regenerative agriculture, the role it can play in preventing the worst of the climate crisis while protecting food supply, and the urgent need to reform federal policies that unjustly favor corporate agribusiness, often at the expense of family farmers.
