During the October Lumbee Tribal Council Business Meeting, the council took time to recognize Allana Jackson for her efforts to support clearing the way to execute referendums in a constitutional matter. Speaker Baker said he thanked her for being an engaged citizen who stepped forward to find solutions for the constitutional issue in the Clean Water Ordinance.
The moment was especially significant as the Lumbee People move toward a vote allowing our citizens to vote on the “Clean Water Ordinance.”
Jackson is the eldest daughter of the late Angela L Jackson. She is from the Jonesville communities of Wakulla. She is an accountant and entrepreneur.
