Family Health & Wellness Department
Our services focus on empowerment, prevention, and support while honoring the strength, resilience, and traditions of the Lumbee people. Program initiatives may include crisis response support, community education, wellness activities, youth and elder outreach, professional collaboration, referral coordination, and culturally responsive advocacy services. Emergency housing assistance and support for essential needs such as clothing, food, hygiene items, and safety resources may also be provided as needed to individuals and families experiencing crisis situations.
Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)
The Lumbee Tribe’s Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and Sexual Assault Programs are committed to supporting the safety, healing, and well-being of American Indian individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and related trauma. Through culturally grounded advocacy, education, outreach, and coordinated community partnerships, our programs work to strengthen awareness, increase access to services, and promote healing within our tribal communities.

Enlightening Native Daughters (END) Program
The Enlightened Native Daughters (END-Sexual Assault) Program partners with Rape Crisis Center of Robeson County to strengthen advocacy efforts, expand access to survivor support services, and provide collaborative, trauma-informed responses within our community. Together, we are committed to promoting safety, healing, dignity, and hope for survivors while increasing awareness and reducing barriers to care throughout the Lumbee Tribal community.
