Educator Celebrates Becoming New Homeowner Through Downpayment Assistance Program
Congratulations to Amber Kline and her family on receiving $20,000 in Downpayment Assistance this week through the Lumbee Tribe Down-Payment Assistance program. Amber, a recent graduate of UNC Pembroke, is now teaching Pre-school in the Public Schools of Robeson County. She is purchasing her first home and will be living in the Back Swamp Community in District 20.
Amber said she has waited nine years for this dream to come true. “I was so excited because, I've been waiting, I've been praying,” said Kline. “I just thought it would never happen for me to get a home my family could fit in and I could afford.” Amber is the granddaughter of William Ernest Kline, and the daughter of Michelle and Lloyd Kline.
