Lumbee Citizens,

The Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina encourages you to continue to be diligent to protect yourself from potential scams. Have you received a letter, call, text, social media post promising money or email asking for money? Stop and verify before you respond. Before you listen to someone offering money on our behalf or requesting money, please call our tribal office at 910.521.7861.

Experts agree, scammers rely on fear, panic, and a false sense of urgency. Hang up or close the message.

If something looks suspicious, doesn't have official Lumbee Tribe information, or just doesn't seem right, don't hesitate to call
