You are invited to the Back to School Backpack and Supply Bash on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 3 pm - 5 pm at Pembroke Recreation Complex, located at 7164 NC-711, in Pembroke, NC. The event is hosted by Lumbee Tribal Council District 6 Representative Larry Chavis, District 7 Council Representative Rubalena Locklear and District 20 Council Representative Rudy Locklear. In addition to free school supplies, there will be kid activities including bounce houses and the splash pad will be open. Food will be served. The event is for enrolled members of the Lumbee Tribe who reside in Districts 6, 7 and 20.
