We invite everyone across the nation to join us in celebration as we prepare for the Lumbee Federal Recognition event on May 16th by displaying a tribal colored bow, flag, or other items outside your home or business. We are less than two weeks from the event. We hope everyone is just as excited as we are about this historic occasion as we welcome our Lumbee Citizens, friends and neighbors from across the nation. Everyone is invited to this grand celebration at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. It will be a momentous day to join us in celebration of this historic and joyous achievement!
The celebration will begin at 9 am and continue through 9 pm. Join us for great fellowship, a gospel singing, a mini-powwow, vendors, guest speakers, light show and much more! It will be hosted at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in the Quad area between Old Main and the Mary Livermore Library. It is our honor to partner with UNC Pembroke and Chancellor Cummings to host this special day. #lumbee575
