Get ready for an unforgettable day filled with incredible entertainment, powerful gospel singing and dancing, as we honor this monumental achievement as the 575th Federally Recognized Tribe in the nation!
We are excited to share our entertainment/performer lineup and Powwow Headstaff! We are honored to welcome Lynkon Woodell as Head Male and Miss Lumbee Taylor Davis as Head Female. The Powwow will take place on the UNC Pembroke University Center (UC) Lawn between the Jones Center Gym and the UC, with Grand Entry beginning at 3:30 p.m. The arena will take shape with dancers, drums, and singing as we celebrate together in a historic way.
This is history. This is a celebration generations in the making, and we invite everyone to come be part of a powerful day for the Lumbee people.
