We are less than a week away from our Lumbee Tribe Wild Game Festival! There is a buzz of activity with our tribal staff as we plan the menu for Saturday as well as all the fun activities for that day. We have one more exciting thing to share. At each of our federal recognition events, there will be a special patch for purchase. This Saturday, we look forward to sharing the first patch with you which will feature a duck, which is commonly seen at our Lumbee Tribe Cultural Center. This limited edition patch will be available that day for purchase. Only 200 patches will be made. This is the first of the Lumbee Tribe's 575 Limited Edition Memorabilia! We have a number of items we know that you will love.
The Wild Game Festival is free and open to the public. The festival kicks off at 11 am and wraps up at 9 pm on Saturday. The day begins with a Wild Game Lunch at 11:00 am featuring many of your Lumbee favorites including quail, deer, duck, fish, rabbit, turkey, bison, some gator, chicken and rice and much more.
There will also be a Community Powwow from 1 pm till 5 pm. Then in the evening, sit back and relax from 6 pm to 9 pm with a Bonfire and Traditional Social Dancing. The Lumbee Tribe Cultural Center is located on Terry Sanford Drive in Maxton, NC.
We would also like to thank our sponsors Jenner & Block LLP, Trillium Health Resources, Alliance Integrated solutions, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina and Carolina Complete Health. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
