The celebration will begin at 9:00 a.m. with morning entertainment on the Main Stage featuring live performances throughout the morning session. At the same time, families can enjoy Kids Crafts & Activities on the UC Annex Lawn from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Children and families will have opportunities to participate in hands-on activities and fun throughout the day.
Guests will also be able to experience Museum Tours & Cultural Activities at the Old Main Building from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. These activities will highlight Lumbee history, culture, and traditions while providing attendees with educational and interactive experiences.
Throughout the event area from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., attendees can enjoy food and beverage vendors, arts and crafts vendors, sweets, and shopping opportunities from many amazing businesses and artisans joining us for this special occasion.
Beginning at 12:00 p.m., the Core Program and Recognition Ceremony will take place on the Main Stage and continue until 3:00 p.m. This special portion of the day will include remarks, recognition, and the honoring of guests as we celebrate this monumental achievement in Lumbee history.
From 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., attendees are invited to the History Panel on the Main Stage, where important conversations and reflections on Lumbee history and federal recognition will be shared.
One of the most anticipated parts of the celebration, the Mini Powwow, will begin at 3:30 p.m. on the Student Center Lawn and continue until 6:00 p.m. The arena will come alive with drums, dancers, regalia, singing, and celebration as we honor our culture and traditions together.
Evening entertainment will begin at 5:00 p.m. on the Main Stage and continue through 8:30 p.m., featuring acts and live performances leading into the night's grand finale.
At 8:45 p.m., look to the sky for our Drone Light Show, a breathtaking “575 Edition” drone spectacular honoring the Lumbee Tribe.
We cannot wait to celebrate with everyone.
