Progress is underway as our Lumbee Tribe Construction Team discusses one of the newest tribal communities underway in Scotland County. Our Lumbee Tribe New Construction team recently held a concept meeting with Wooten Engineering of Raleigh, City of Laurinburg Officials, and NCDOT to discuss the infrastructure for the recently purchased 32-acre tract for a Residential Subdivision and Boys & Girls Club located on NC 401/McColl Road in Laurinburg.
The site will serve Lumbee Tribe District #12 represented by Council member Ms. Josephine Doss and District #19 represented by Council member Mr. Larry Soles. The Single-Family Subdivision will consist of approximately 44-lots at 1/3-acre size. It will also include a state-of-the-art Boys & Girls Club.
The Concept Meeting, which took place at the Laurinburg City Hall, looked at reviewing the following infrastructure agenda items: 1) Project Overview; 2) Site & Civil Engineering Specifications; 3) Utility Infrastructure; 4) Fire Safety; 5) NCDOT & Traffic Coordination.
