Rennert Groundbreaking to Bring Housing for Lumbee Elders On Friday, the Lumbee Tribe of N.C. broke ground on their tribe's newest neighborhood, which will be in the Rennert community. The ten acre tract will have up to 8 duplexes, which will be home to 16 elders. The site will also house an administrative. building. This is the first tribal community in Rennert. This is the second ground breaking for the Lumbee Tribe this month.
