On Monday, the Lumbee Tribe Energy Department will begin accepting applications for the Heating Assistance Program, which will be open from November 3, 2025, through December 5, 2025. The Low Income Household Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) will provide a one-time heating benefit to income-eligible households, paid directly towards their heating source.
Tribal Members may apply in person at the Lumbee Tribe Housing Complex. Completed applications with all the required paperwork from the checklist may be delivered to the drop box at the Lumbee Tribe Housing Complex at 6984 NC 711, Pembroke, NC.

The decision to change the dates for the Heating Assistance Program was made by our Tribal Administration due to the current status of the Government shutdown. The updated dates are continguent upon if, and when, the Government ends the current shutdown. Any updated information will be released as soon as it is received on our tribal website and social media.
