Celebrating Those Who Made the 2017 Lumbee Spot Fry and Fall Festival Possible

The revered grounds of the beautiful Lumbee Tribe Cultural Center was the scene of the Lumbee Spot Fry and Fall Festival that was held Saturday, October 21, 2017, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It was a phenomenal success that was made possible by our sponsors and volunteers. We couldn’t have done it without you! Over 1500 pounds of fish plus the sides, 140 gallons of tea and lemonade, untold cans of soda and bottles of water, pounds of venison and sausage bog were prepared and served. The folks cooked and served until the supply was depleted. It was delicious. Every single morsel served was perfection & tasty, and according to many "off da chain." We appreciate your accolades but more than that, we thank you for coming out and making this an event to remember. We would like to take this opportunity to sound a heartfelt THANK YOU to all the student volunteers from The Public Schools of Robeson County; all the singers; Mr. Buddy Dial; Mr. Eric Fuller Locklear (Fullers BBQ) and his team; Mr. Allen Dial; Council of Government workers; Trinity Foods; Steven Roberts; WalMart; Town of Pembroke; Burger King; and Sam’s Club. We also want to recognize and thank the Elders' Clubs who took the time and effort to display their creations for viewing and sale. The Lumbee Fall Festival and Spot Fry was a phenomenal success, but we couldn’t have done it without you! The Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina and our Tribal Chairman Mr. Harvey Godwin Jr. appreciates your gifts of time, energy, and enthusiastic support. Lets start our preparations for next year's Fall Festival!!!
