Generation to Generation

Attendees at Sunday the evening (8/13/2017) gospel/spiritual sing sponsored by the Lumbee Tribe's Boys & Girls Clubs were treated to some of the best gospel singing the Lumbee Nation has to offer.

The event was held at 6:00 pm at the Pembroke Boys & Girls Club. Titled "Generation to Generation of Spiritual Singing," Dr. Rose Marie Lowery, Director of the Tribe's Boys & Girls Clubs and organizer of this event, in conjunction with the kids, included this Bible verse in the program: "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord." Ephesians 5:19

Gospel sings have been a part of the Lumbee experience for generations and are a deep expression of their walk of faith.
