Tribal Citizens, community members and community stakeholders, mark your calendar for Thursday, October 1, 2026 to join us for a day of foundational learning, focused on the Indian Child Welfare Act ICWA. The training will feature culturally informed child welfare practices, and the importance of maintaining children’s connections to family, community, culture, and Tribe. The event is from 8:30 am until 5 pm at the Chavis Student Center Annex, on the campus of UNC Pembroke at 239 N Odum St. in Pembroke NC 28372.
