Today, staff from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Indian Health Service (IHS) met with Lumbee Tribe leadership to discuss future programs, next steps, and opportunities for continued collaboration. The meeting was highly productive, as IHS staff gained a deeper understanding of the Tribe, our community, and our specific needs. They expressed excitement about future programs and building a strong working relationship with the Lumbee Tribe as we move forward together.
