The Southeastern Life Center partnered with the Lumbee Tribe Boys & Girls Club for a 3-day Public Safety Camp. A special thanks to the Tarheel Fire Department, the Robeson County Sheriff’s Department, Pembroke Rescue, and Cape Fear Valley Air. Throughout the camp, the campers received hands-on experience from the ones who provide life-saving techniques daily. We also want to thank Mr. Josh Jones, a trade professional at Farris Work. Mr. Jones was able to show campers how important it is to keep the horses’ shoes cleaned.
All campers received free lunch each day, which included hamburgers, hot dogs, and fries. After a hot day, each camper was also treated to homemade ice cream.
We appreciate everyone who had a part in making this event successful.
