Thank you to Lowe’s for giving to make play more accessible for children visiting the Lumbee Tribe

Thank you to Lowe’s for giving to make play more accessible for children visiting the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina Cultural Center. Today is “Red Vest day” for the Lowe’s Company. Lowe’s employees spent the morning at the Lumbee Tribe Cultural Center working on the children’s playground. This project is part of a Lowe’s Hometown grant of $160,000 to resurface the playground areas and provide concrete sidewalks for handicapped accessibility for the children to play here. Lowe’s Volunteers from the Lumberton and Whiteville stores spent the morning removing the mulch material from around the playground to make way for a more accessible material which will make the playground more accessible. This is a 6 month project. William Locklear is working with Lowe’s as the Project manager for the project.
