Thank you to everyone who came out this afternoon to celebrate the acquisition of land in Scotland County with a Land Blessing Ceremony. Community leaders, families, members from the Boys and Girls Club braved the rain to celebrate a new Boys and Girls club and a new neighborhood that will offer affordable housing for Lumbee citizens in Districts 12 and 19. Council Representatives for the community are Jo Doss and Larry Soles. The property is on McColl Rd. in Laurinburg, NC.

The land is almost 33 acres and includes 24.5 acres for residential development and 8.32 for general business. This property is designated for a Boys and Girls club and home ownership. The construction team is currently in phase 1 of the project with the environmental assessment.
