Thank you to everyone that attended the Lumbee Tribe of NC’s District 10 Community Meeting hosted by Councilman Bobby Emanuel at the Rennert Fire Department.

Thank you to everyone that attended the Lumbee Tribe of NC’s District 10 Community Meeting hosted by Councilman Bobby Emanuel at the Rennert Fire Department. The Lumbee Tribal Chairman and staff provided key information regarding the Cultural Center, improvements to programs allowing a smoother process for tribal citizens, the creation of the Agriculture & Natural Resources and Health & Human Services Departments, as well as services and programs that are available to tribal members.

They also highlighted the current and future housing developments located throughout our tribal territory—specifically the elder village that will be built in the Rennert Community, the environmental research occurring throughout tribal territory, and the establishment of forging and nature trails. The Lumbee Tribe’s Energy Department recently assisted 62 families through the weatherization program, while the Housing Department helped 166 families receive homes through the Downpayment Assistance and Homeownership Programs.

Tribal members are able to apply for services and programs on our website at https://www.lumbeetribe.com/services or call 910.521.7861.
