Lumbee Citizens, as we have transitioned to the online enrollment updates, we want to make sure you are comfortable with the process. Here are some questions, we often receive.
-Can I enroll my children online? No. The online process is for updates only. If children are already enrolled, you can update, but no new enrollments will be accepted at this time.
-What happens after I submit my update information online? You will receive an automatic email from the enrollment office confirming you have submitted your information.
-How will I know I can come pick up my card? You will receive a 2nd email from the enrollment office telling you to come in, or that says if any additional information is required . For example, if a certified county-issued birth certificate is needed, you will be told to bring one when you come. Once you receive the second email you can come in and pick up your card.
-Do I need to come in person? YES. To complete the update process, you have to come in person, bring any missing documents, and sign a form provided by the tribal enrollment staff. You will NOT be updated until you complete this step.
-Can someone else pick up my card for me? No. You have to come in person with a valid ID to complete the process.
-What happens if I come in before receiving the response from an enrollment representative? You will be asked to sign in and complete the re-certification form in-person.
-Can I submit online after May 13, 2026? No. The online portal will close on May 13, 2026 to allow staff time to process online applications before the rolls close on May 22, 2026.
-Can I still update in person? Yes. The office will be open for in-person updates until Friday, May 22, 2026.
-If I submit my information online and don’t pick up my card by May 22, am I considered active and eligible to vote in the election? No. The process must be completed in person before you can be actively enrolled and eligible to vote.
