Looking for a great way to kick off your weekend? Bring your family to UNC Pembroke on Friday, April 12, 2024 to cheer on our hometown UNCP Women's Softball Team for American Indian Appreciation Day! Also don’t miss an opportunity to cheer on Lumbee Tribal Chairman John L. Lowery as he throws out the first pitch at the game. Admission is FREE! The UNCP Women's Softball Team toured the Lumbee Tribe Housing Complex today and visited with Chairman Lowery. The Chairman, who is a UNCP Alumnus, talked with the team about their season, but really more about life and encouraged the students to find out what they are passionate about and follow that dream. On Friday, the UNCP Women's Softball Team is playing Barton College. The first game is at 2 p.m. and the 2nd game is at 4 p.m. The game will be played at the UNCP Softball Field on the campus of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
