Congratulations to the four of our enrolled Lumbee tribal members that were selected to participate in the Villarreal CF North American Select Team Assessments in Las Vegas, NV, on December 27-29, 2023. Jahna Locklear, Josie McLean, Kyndallon Oxendine, and Laiken Conner play club soccer at Fayetteville Soccer Club, a North American partner club of Villarreal CF in Spain. Each year, players are selected from each partner club in North America to attend the assessments with hopes of making the North American Select Team. Players are selected based on onsite evaluations at the club or through the Villarreal Force Academy's Veo Match and Training Recordings online.

Jahna is the daughter of Joy and Jodella Locklear. Josie is the daughter of Robert and Bobbie McLean. Kyndallon is the daughter of Reese and Starlet Oxendine. Laiken is the daughter of Chris and Kelsey Conner.
