Chairman Lowery is busy working on behalf of the Lumbee People

Lumbee Tribal Chairman John L. Lowery is busy working on behalf of the Lumbee People as he meets with lawmakers for a second day on Capitol Hill. This follows his visit last night to the State of the Union Address as the official guest for Congressman David Rouzer, U.S. Representative for the 7th District of North Carolina. Chairman Lowery had an opportunity to interact with members of congress and hear President Biden’s address first hand. He was also interviewed with Congressman Rouzer on Spectrum News ahead of the address to the nation. “I was honored to be a part of such a historical moment to witness President Biden’s State of the Union Address. I was also glad to be in a position to advocate for our tribe as I met with many members of congress throughout the event. I want to sincerely thank Congressman Rouzer for his invite and strong support of the Lumbee Tribe.”
