United Tribes of North Carolina is governed by a 13 member Board of Directors representing the 8 state recognized tribes and 4 urban Indian centers of North Carolina, as well as Legal Aid of North Carolina (Pembroke office).  

United Tribes of North Carolina's objectives are to Increase awareness of American Indian issues,Provide a forum to develop strategies to address challenges faced by American Indians in North Carolina, Celebrate the traditional and contemporary history of American Indians in North Carolina, Promote resources and opportunities beneficial to our State's American Indian population, and Reclaim our heritage.

This United Tribes Appointment is a (2) two year term.
