We will discuss the best food safety practices for your operation, equipment safety, and support for farmers' mental health. Arrive early or stay after to get your FREE health screening. Tens of thousands of people came to our Lumbee Territory this week for Lumbee Homecoming. It was a wonderful week to celebrate our Tribal Heritage and visit with our families who were home from across the globe. Today the celebration was winding down, but not before an exciting parade, powwow, arts and crafts, some more great food, the swearing in of Senior Ms. Lumbee Edith Jones, games, antique cars and much more. Tonight the festivities continue with the Lumbee film festival, and the fireworks.

For Lumbee Homecoming, the Lumbee Tribal Enrollment Office is OPEN LATE with extended hours on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. That allows you 3 days to take care of your updates and or enrollments after hours. Tribal Enrollment is open late EVERY Monday. Applicants or members must be signed in at the Lumbee Tribe Enrollment desk by 7:30 pm for members updating. There will also be an additional Lumbee History Culture class at 6:00 pm. To attend, pre-register by calling 910.522.5468 or email enrollment@lumbeetribe.com For new enrollments, please bring your county issued certified birth certificate and photo ID. Copies are not accepted.

- Annual Rennert 4th of July Parade Brings Visitors from Across the Region
It was a scorcher out today, but people from across the region visited the Town of Rennert for the annual Fourth of July parade. There were golf carts, queens, hot rods, tractors and even horses. Lumbee Tribal Chairman John L. Lowery joined in the fun. Rennert is a small town with a huge heart for Independence Day. Happy 4th of July!
