  • The Lumbee Tribe is thankful to see the sun come out and things are going back to normal after 'Ian'

The Lumbee Tribe is thankful to see the sun come out and things are going back to normal following Hurricane Ian. A number of our tribal members spent the night without electricity, but power is being restored. We are thankful for the hedge of protection that God put around our region as the storm moved over. The winds were very high, but it appears there was minimal damage in most areas. If you have to get out today on the roads, please use caution because some communities still do not have fully operational lights at intersections. Our thoughts and prayers are with our neighbors as cleanup continues in Florida, South Carolina, and other regions affected by Hurricane Ian. Today we are thankful. Tribal Chairman John Lowery
