  • Thank You to the Gospel Groups for Blessing Our Community at the Lumbee Tribe's Annual Fish Fry

    The Lumbee Tribe and Tribal Chairman Harvey Godwin, Jr. would like to thank the Locklear's, the Pierce Family Singers and the McNeill’s for their anointed and heartfelt singing at the Annual Fish Fry of the Lumbee Tribe of N.C. on Saturday, October 9th. Each year, these gospel groups uplift the communities’ spirits and carry on the time-honored tradition without hesitancy by singing at the annual Fish Fry for free. We appreciate and treasure their support and willingness to help and serve the community. If you were unable to see them, here is a glimpse of their wondering singing. We also say thank to Mr. Billy Jacobs for organizing the gospel groups and all the hard work he has done to ensure that the program went smoothly, as always.

  • Lumbee Tribe fish Fry Offers Much More Than Nourishment to the Community

    The Lumbee Tribe of N.C. Annual Fish Fry is finished. The Lumbee Tribe of N.C. Annual Fish Fry offered a beautiful day for the time honored Lumbee Tradition of the Spot Fry. Thank you to everyone who turned out on Saturday. Thank you to all of the staff, volunteers, Fuller’s BBQ, the Gospel Groups, Robeson County Sheriff's Department and everyone who made this day special!

  • Lumbee Annual Fish Fry 2021

    The fish is rolling out at the annual Lumbee Tribe of N.C. Fish Fry. It has been a beautiful day out for the Lumbee Spot Fry. Thankfully, the rain is holding out. Hundreds of people have already driven thru. Guest will receive one (1) fish fry plate per person (must be present within the car), fruit, PPE supplies, as well as other goodies. While driving thru, guests are also enjoying beautiful singing by Lumbee Gospel groups from across the region. Please join us for the Lumbee Tribe of N.C. DRIVE THRU Fall Festival Fish Fry TODAY, October 9, 2021 from 11 am till 4:00 pm, at the Lumbee Tribe Cultural Center on Terry Sanford Drive in Maxton NC The event is TAKE OUT and it is FREE (while supplies last).

  • Successful Cleat Giveaway

    Around 700 athletes received Cleats today during our Cleat Giveaway at the Lumbee Tribe Boys & Girls Club. Thank you to Under Armour for their sponsorship to make this donation possible to football athletes in our community. The athletes also received Under Armour gloves and mask. We also appreciate the National Boys & Girls Clubs of America for including us in the opportunity. We also want to give a “WELL DONE” shout out to all the coaches who coordinated to get the sizes of their athletes so that they would receive cleats. We want to encourage the schools who didn’t pick up cleats to reach out to the Lumbee Tribe Boys & Girls Club. The schools may call with the student sizes of your team and our staff will work to get the sizes for your athletes, while supplies last.
