Over 200 volunteers from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina and the community joined KaBOOM! yesterday, Wednesday, April 24 to build a kid-designed, state-of-the-art playground in just six hours at the Lumbee Tribe Cultural Center. Join us for the 14th Annual Dance of the Spring Moon Lumbee Powwow! May 3-5, 2019 at the Lumbee Tribe Cultural Center, 638 Terry Sanford Drive, Maxton, NC 28364.
This event will feature a Cultural Demonstrations, Stickball Games, Powwow Dancing, food vendors and a variety of fine arts and jewelry from individual artists.

Saturday, our veterans were able to access many of the different services at the Lumbee Tribe Veterans Stand Down and Community Job Fair. Services such as food, clothing, health screenings, VA and Social Security benefits counseling, and referrals to a variety of other necessary services, such as housing, employment, and substance abuse treatment were available for veterans.
