Tribal Council Meeting

The next scheduled Tribal Council meeting is December 13, Thursday 6:30p.m. at the Saddletree Community building. The Saddletree building is located on Mount Olive Church Road in the Saddletree community. Try this link for directions if needed.

James Harold Locklear (District 7: South Pembroke and Union) and Ricky Burnett (District 13: Cumberland County, Parkton, Lumber Bridge, and North St. Pauls) are running unopposed and have been declared winners

  • The Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina is seeking an energetic, well-disciplined individual with a record of proven demonstrative leadership skills to assume the very important position of full-time Tribal Administrator.  The Tribal Administrator will work under the direction of, and closely with, the Tribal Chairman in organizing, implementing, and directing programs, policies, and directives established by the Lumbee Tribal Council.  This individual will be required to effectively communicate with Lumbee Tribal Council, .......[more]
  • SCOTLAND COUNTY POWWOW - NOV. 24, 2007

    A powwow will be held in Scotlan d County on November 24, 2007. The powwow will be held next to Pioneer Chemical Plant at John's Station on Old Maxton Highway. The site opens at 10 am and grand entry is at noon. The powwow will conclude around 5 pm. Admission is free and the public is invited. There is a setup fee for booths.   • LUMBEE TRIBE GOSPEL SINGING - NOV. 16, 2007

    The Lumbee Tribe will sponsor its 3rd Tribal Celebration at Redeemed Assembl y International Church on Highway 211 West in Lumberton, on Friday, November 16, 2007.  The Gospel Sing will begin at 7 pm. and feature Youth In Christ, Redeemed Choir, the Lumbee Elders Choir, Chavis Brothers, The McNeill's, and The Locklear's.  Dinner will be served, beginning at 6 pm in the Redeemed Life Center.   • Partnership lands donation for Tribe The Tribe announces a partnership with Carolina Automotive Group.  Carolina Automotive recently presented tribal officials with the first installment check of $1,000 and committed to another $5,000 for economic development and federal recognition over the next year.......[more]

  • Open House held for the Arrowpoint community The limited homes are available for tribal members who meet eligibility requirements.  Housing counselors are available to assist tribal members in qualifying. ......[more].
  • Lumbee Tribal Enrollment Information. Beginning Monday, July 2nd, 2007, the enrollment office hours will be Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 8:30am to 4:00pm. Our office is closed to the public on Thursday and Friday. We are not working with any new enrollments. The tribal rolls are closed and we do not have a date set for them to re-open.
