Lumbee Tribe host food and services forum at Fairgrounds for the public
The Lumbee Tribe will celebrate five years of providing programs and services to the tribal members. The celebration will be held at the Robeson County Fairgrounds in Lumberton on south Martin Luther King Jr. Dive and invites the public to attend.
The Lumbee Tribe will provide BBQ, chicken bog, baked beans, slaw and hotdogs for the event starting at 11 a.m. and host a guest speaker on child abuse and neglect in honor of the monthly national recognition of April as child abuse and neglect awareness.
Also available will be the tribal program directors and managers to present and promote the services offered by the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. A gospel sing is schedule for the public to enjoy starting at 7 p.m. and will last until, with the Bobby Deal Trio as the headlining group.
