Belief Statement: While our government has successfully implemented programs and services, our biggest challenge is to restore the confidence of our tribal members. My goal is to ensure that measures adopted are fully implemented and made reality. As your tribal government, we need to feel the pulse of the tribal members and take their pleas into account. I believe that we need to be Accountable, Accept Responsibility and Act Accordingly. We need to bring a renewed hope to our people. We have experienced countless hardships but we are a people who are seasoned into turning adversity into opportunity. The Lumbee Spirit is displayed through our will to live up to challenges, to excel and adapt, to persevere and never give up. Our path ahead is one of hope and we cannot stand still because our advancement urges on us.
