Lumbee Regional Development Association (LRDA), 6-8 pm Pembroke, NC

The Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina sponsors culture classes on Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. , and Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the LRDA Building, and now on Tuesday nights also. Classes are open to all ages, and children under 4 must be accompanied by a parent or other adult. Subjects to be taught are: North Carolina Indian history, pow wow singing and dancing, beading, pottery, pine needle basket making, flute playing, etc. Elders are encouraged to attend to help mold and guide our youth.
