Women’s Touring Golf Professional visits Pembroke Boys & Girls Club
(February 2010) Lauren Hunt of Little River, South Carolina visits the Pembroke Boys & Girls Club on behalf of the Ocean Ridge Golf Plantation on Friday, February 26, 2010.
“A lot of hard work, sacrifices, and determination; that is the price you have to pay to do big things,” stated Hunt as she informed members of the Pembroke Boys & Girls Club about a pro-athletic lifestyle. Hunt, a 22-year-old graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, will be touring 15 states within a sixth month time frame. “It’s kind of a tough lifestyle to be in a different location practically every week, but I’ve got to do it because it’s the dream I’m trying to achieve,” continued Hunt. Young Society Drum Group honored Hunt with a song at the end of her motivational words or encouragement and insight. The members of Pembroke Boys & Girls Club appreciated Hunt with gifts they hand crafted as well.
