Belief Statement: As a member of your tribal government it is my duty to not only serve you but to lend an ear to the heartbeat of the Lumbee Tribe. Our tribe is strong and we are a proud people of the many accomplishments we have made because of the sacrifices of our elders. As a part of your Tribal government it is my duty to build upon these accomplishments. Failure is not an option in the Lumbee Tribe's quest for Federal Recognition. This is an inheritance that we will not be denied. As with any inheritance death has to occur. Our government welcomes the death of discord, mistrust or any other negatives that might hinder the progress of the Lumbee Tribe. Let us give birth to a new spirit! Truth, honesty, fairness, equality, accountability and responsible governing is my pledge to you. Restoring the confidence of tribal members in their tribal government is a priority to me. This confidence will only come with a transparent tribal government.
