Bio: Mr. Terry Hunt , Representative for District 2, resides in Fairmont, North Carolina is married to Joann Hunt (love of his life) for 36yrs and they have two wonderful children Travis Hunt 24 and Leanna Hunt 20. Terry Hunt began his career with Fairmont Police Department in 1979 as a patrolman and advanced through the ranks from master patrolman, sergeant and lieutenant. He made history in 1993 when he became the first Native American Chief of Police in the Town of Fairmont and served as Chief of Police until his retirement in 2001. However he is still active in law enforcement and continues to carry his law enforcement certification. Terry is active in New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church and serves as superintendent; he is also an active member on the board of directors for the Robeson County Rape Crisis Center. He is a member of Fairmont Rotary Club and volunteers in Robeson County Public School System. |
